CAD TECHNICIAN

  

Metal-Fab, Inc. is seeking a candidate for a 1st shift CAD Technician. This position is responsible for bills of materials, drawings, and routers and maintenance of ECR’s on all products.

  

Duties Include:

• Generates submittal drawings from sketches in a clear, concise and timely manner.
• Creates programs for new and existing products using current software applications.
• Maintains a continued discipline of experimenting with new software for increased detail to drawings such as 3-D rendering.
• Demonstrates proficiency in 3D modeling software.
• Develops a recognized proficiency in generating parts from finished dimension sketches.
• Maintains a level of accuracy to meet quantitative objectives.
• Develops a recognized proficiency to estimate time required to complete tasks assigned.
• Maintains existing drawings and bills of material that are routed through the ECR channel.
• Supports engineers and designers through a variety of tasks; quickly and accurately update/correct drawings during design process.

Job Location:

The position is located at 3025 W. May St., Wichita, Kansas 67213
This is an hourly position – Normal Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

Job Requirements:

• Regular, in-person attendance at the Company’s facilities to perform assigned job duties
• Ability to read and understand information presented orally and in writing.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Proficient using personal computer, data entry and other common office equipment and software.
• Problem-solving skills.
• The successful candidate must reside or be able to relocate to the Wichita area.

WAREHOUSE SHIPPING ASSOCIATE - 1ST & 2ND SHIFT

 

Metal-Fab is seeking warehouse shipping associates for 1st & 2nd shift

 

Duties Include:

• Operate a forklift
• Change forklift propane tanks
• Perform basic forklift preventative maintenance
• Accurately place and retrieve inventory goods
• Order pulling/picking
• Load and unload material and product
• Operate scanning equipment
• Perform inventory stock counts

 

Job Location & Schedule:

This position is based in Wichita, Kansas
1st shift hours 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
2nd shift hours 3:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.

 

Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED or warehouse experience
• Available to work daily and/or weekend overtime
• Ability to speak, read and write in English
• Ability to accurately perform basic math
• Ability to operate scanning equipment and use measuring devices
• Ability to work with and get along with other employees
• Dependable and punctual
